Here is a question I received via email. I thought the insight I took away from this simple idea was profound enough to share here.
The question came from a reader of my blog. They were reading The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol. (which I highly recommend)
Here’s the question…
Would you agree that nowadays visualizing is harder for EVERYONE due to the energy fields that surround us that didn’t exist back in 1945?
Here’s my answer:
I believe that the amount of micowaves around me have nothing to with MY ability to visualize… and I also believe that if you believe that microwaves affect your ability to visualize, then they must… because that’s what you believe.
You just want to ask yourself if believing that is bringing you closer or further away from what you want.
That’s the real question you want to ask. Our beliefs affect our thoughts, perceptions and behaviors…. AND most of the time we’re not even the ones who put our beliefs in our minds in the first place. If that belief is not serving you, then it’s time to let it go.
If your brain is really fried and you want to know how to get grounded, watch this: How to Quiet the Mind

November 23, 2012Hi Steve,
Thanks for posting this article you’ve given the right anwser.
I think the most difficult thing about limiting beliefs is to identify them because to transform them we’ve got to identify them.
I had some limiting beliefs abount certain numbers that I though they were of no good vibration and always tried to avoid them.
But now I accept everything as good to me.

November 23, 2012@ Maria: Well that’s a great step forward as welcoming and accepting beliefs for what they are is the way to release them.

November 8, 2013Hello Steve,
For me, after several years of in-depth study I am convinced that the understanding and application of thought is one source of compelling but misunderstood and misused ‘energy/force’ that drives every individual.
I quote Albert Einstein to support my claim.
“The proliferation of ‘things’ of all kinds and ‘lives’ of all kinds presents one unbroken chain of evidence to support the fact that man is the creator of his own destiny; and his thoughts and acts are the tools with which he does the making”.
Since reading this and one or two other compelling quotes several years ago my life has taken on a whole new meaning and mission.
The content of your website has provided me with a real boost to my online objectives.
They are, like your own, to become an enabler of others through the of principle of ‘lifelong learning about self’.
I will be a constant reader of your unique website content.
Regards and respect,

P.S. I got so ‘fired up’ I thought it necessary to send you a longer message through your website CONTACT link. The message is headed MIND MATTERS!
