It might not surprise you to know that I am a sales coach. I transitioned my focus and began working with high commission sales professionals early in 2011. It was one of the best moves I made at the time.
Generally speaking, I find that the people who are top-tier sales professionals have a great sense of humour, are outrageously energetic and have a burning desire to grow and improve (all good qualities for being super happy and super wealthy).
When I made this transition I began to enjoy myself a lot more in my coaching. It felt unbelievably fun and adventurous. You may have had times where you felt that life was absolutely perfect for you… a 10/10.
But imagine a slightly different scenario.
Imagine that life was great and getting even better in every moment. That in this very moment you could experience a “peak” moment that was better than any other experience you’ve ever had… a moment where you had an experience that was more expansive and better-feeling than the previous version of it… the 2.0 of experiences… an 11 out of 10 on the same scale.
That is the experience I had when I started coaching top-tier sales pros. That is the experience I had when I was published in my first magazine 6 years ago. That was the turning point in my life that lead me to where I am today.
That’s one of the secrets of the very wealthy and successful. They keep finding new ways – albeit unconscious ways – of feeling happier, more successful and increasingly confident. As those inner shifts begin to take place, the physical manifestations of those vibes don’t fall far behind.

Working with top-tier sales pros I realized they all have 3 very distinct qualities:
- they are smart people who continue to learn and grow
- they are generous with their time and energy
- they have a burning desire to succeed
In other words, they are what I would call “abundant-types” …they are people who experience life as more than enough as opposed to not enough at all… they are people who focus on the opportunities that life throws at them as opposed to the obstacles. They are people who see the glass half full as opposed to the glass half empty… they are heroes and champions as opposed to victims and chumps.
Abundant types are people who make this world a better place. They are people who inspire others and who have the courage to go after what they want. They are the people who make lemonade when life throws them lemons.
Are you an abundant-type? Do you know others who are?
If so, model them. The fastest way to become an abundant type is to model them. Emulate them. Model their beliefs, psychology, behaviours and physiology. Find people who inspire you to be better and make you feel better.
Then begin at once to emulate them.
