Discover your strengths and new insights with this simple 5 minute exercise. I came across this journal entry from last year where I wrote out my key strengths. I found this exercise so compelling and motivating. All you need to do is write out these three statements and complete them in your own words.
Here are my own answers…
#1. FIVE THINGS I have learned about motivating myself and achieving my dreams are…
- stay in action
- create a compelling vision
- follow my heart
- be courageous
- do it NOW!
#2. FIVE THINGS I have learned about leading others and being a good team player are…
- communication is 90% of the game
- acknowledgement and appreciation motivates others
- be the change you want to see
- expect the best and coach the rest
- if you know how to do it, ask!
#3. FIVE THINGS I have learned about managing my money are…
- spend less than you earn
- have a system to create wealth
- spend only what you have (not more)
- big service = big checks
- be consistent; it pays off in the end
Now get started with your own list, START RIGHT NOW!
Grab a pen and a piece of paper and write out each of these statements with at least 5 answers for each one. Go!
Steve
P.S. I found a common theme when writing out the answers to these statements. That “theme” provided some key insights about my natural abilities and core strengths. What did you learn about yourself? What did you discover?
